This is the part of my site where I try to frame my passions and hobbies as indicators of how hard I work and how successful I’ve been in my career. Because what’s the point of having a personal site if I can’t brag about how paddling for a wave is a euphemism for tackling a big project?

I’ve spent most of my life pushing myself to be uncomfortable. Whether that’s through trying new flips on skis, biking solo to Mexico, catching a wave that’s clearly too big for me, or taking on a new job, I am always chasing new challenges.

Why? Because I’m happiest when I’m learning. And I learn the most when I’m in over my head and in uncomfortable circumstances.
